Clear answers about customer records, addresses, communication preferences, jobs, sources, and imports.

What information can I keep on a customer record?

A customer record can include the customer’s name, email, phone, communication preference, multiple addresses, status, source, lost reason when applicable, and a written client profile.

Can one customer have multiple addresses?

Yes. Add multiple labeled addresses, choose a default address, and select the appropriate customer address when creating or editing a job.

Can one customer have several jobs?

Yes. Every job appears on the customer record, but each job keeps its own scope, location, schedule, estimates, invoices, payments, notes, and status.

Can I record whether a customer prefers email or text?

Yes. The communication preference can be set to email only, text only, or both email and text.

Can I track where a customer came from?

Yes. Assign a configurable customer source, such as a referral, website inquiry, or other lead channel, and use customer reporting to review revenue by customer.

Can I import an existing customer list?

Yes. Portara includes a customer import workflow so an existing list can be brought into the customer directory.
